Steve Drexler is a 1982 graduate of Gannon University, in his hometown of Erie, Pennsylvania. He received his B.A. in Communications and worked as a news reporter and later as News Director for WJET-TV in Erie after graduation. Steve then attended Duquesne University School of Law, graduating in 1995. While at Duquesne, he was a member of the Law Review.
Steve is currently admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, as well as the U.S. District Courts for both the Western and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania.
He is an active member of the American Bar Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association, Allegheny County Bar Association, the Western Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association, and the Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County.
Steve has represented hundreds of injury victims in more than 25 years of practice, primarily handling motor vehicle crashes, premises liability, and insurance coverage cases. He’s tried cases to verdict in more than a dozen counties in western and central Pennsylvania. Steve has also represented three large multi-hospital regional healthcare organizations.
He is an approved mediator in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. He was the author of Pennsylvania's Right-to-Know Act: How It Is Used to Discourage, Delay and Deny Access to Public Documents and Why It Needs to Be Changed, 33 Duq. L. Rev. 127 (1994).
Steve’s hobbies include golf, downhill skiing, and running. He has run 5 marathons and numerous half-marathons and 10k races. He and his wife, A.J. have five children.
